Tradition with a future
Situated in the heart of town centre of Lauterbach, the “secret capital of the Vogelsberg District”, the Posthotel Johannesberg looks back on a long history of 150 years of hotel and catering services.
It all began in the first half of the 19th century when the building was used as a brewery by the old established family Krömmelbein. Since 1870 the house has continued its gastronomic tradition.
In theses 150 years various families have contributed to its success, so that up to now its name is highly acknowledged in Lauterbach and its surroundings.
Our family team is dedicated to keeping up this tradition of top hospitality. We offer regional dishes as well as international specialities in our guest rooms and on the large terrace.
